I landed into study theatrical design as a way to merge my interest in various topics in my life.

Since I was 6 y/o  I study in a municipal school in Talca that also has in the school program arts related hours, and when I was in 4th grade they offered you the possibility of attending classes of one artistic subject 3 times a week.  My father works as a painter although he never finished her own studies in arts (I think he took the basic class in visual arts in our faculty in the time it longed 2 years) and since I was a baby there have been paintings, brushes, open pots of paint and chemicals for painting around the house. He also play the drums and i started very young too try to made that things but i realize very soon that i wanna to differentiate myself from him jajaja

So when they made me choose if i wanna to take classes of plastic arts, music, or theater i choose theater.

I remember very little about the first years but there were two points that i remember a lot, one was that my mother began to take me to a dance studio from a friend from Pelarco after school also in Talca, we just sit to watch the people training and i remember being blown away by the movement. That friend sat to talk with us after the training and showed me Broadway musicals. I didn't understand anything but I loved what I was seeing, I remember seeing Cats and Jesus Christ Superstar. And the other thing I remember is not an specific thing, but a teacher, Beatriz, who taught the theater class during high school, she made me read HamletMachine when i was 14th and that play changed the way i look at arts in general. At 17th i was very clear in studying something to do with with theater but not clearly what, and Beatriz introduce me to a play by Los contadores auditores and he told me they do theater, but they did not study acting, they are designers of theater and i started to do more research, and find more about the career, i could use some things i learned from my father and work with friends that dance and act and make music it was perfect. With her help I started to attend Lighting classes in the regional theater, did the PSU that same year and I started to study Theater Design in the faculty.

5 years later and a couple of mental breakdowns, I still have courses from 3th year jajaja, it's a hard career, but I really like to make things, specially lighting design and construction of strange and magical objects for the scene. Lately I found more and more joy in the more experimental areas of my career path and the collective creative process, I wanna learn more, and I wanna play more. maybe i write too much jajaja but it's because writing this i remember the love i have for all this.

The Cacerola machine I made with my friend Isidora, exploring about performance and installation.
